On April 4, 2008, The Hoppers & The Original Hopper Brothers & Connie, in conjunction with Ray Flynn Promotions, will host a fan appreciation concert at the Reynolds Auditorium located in Winston-Salem, NC.
Exactly one year ago, The Hoppers performed at the auditorium to a sold-out crowd and filmed two brand new DVDs entitled The Ride Live and Celebration 50. These two spectacular DVDs are scheduled for release by Canaan Records and Word Entertainment on April 1st. In addition to enjoying two rich and anointed concert events, viewers will also enjoy visually exciting High-Definition experiences filmed live at the auditorium. Fans can view a unique video sample at www.thehoppers.com . Because of the production distractions and time constraints put on the live taping, The Hoppers decided to offer a fan appreciation concert for those in attendance. In addition, The Hoppers would like to celebrate the release of the new DVDs and host a concert for fans who have supported their ministry and Ray Flynn Promotions for numerous years.
Reynolds Auditorium is a very special place for The Hoppers. Claude went there as a young man to his first Gospel concert and it was there he was inspired to go home and challenge his brothers to create the Hopper Brothers Quartet around 1956. The theater was built high on a hilltop over looking Winston-Salem by the Reynolds family of the R J Reynolds Tobacco Co. The facility has recently undergone a 7 million dollar historical renovation. The Hoppers and Ray Flynn Promotions invite everyone to attend this special night of music!

February 11, 2008 - “The LeFevre Quartet Signs Exclusive Recording Contract with Canaan Records”
Canaan Records announced today the signing of The LeFevre Quartet to an exclusive recording contract. Although fairly new to the Southern Gospel circuit, this exciting group of men is quickly becoming known for their traditional four-part harmony, exceptional live performances and soul-stirring songs.
“We are thrilled to have the LeFevre Quartet join our growing Canaan Family. I have known Mike, David, Gus and Stacy for years and the energy they bring to the song and to the stage is unparalleled. We are proud to partner with their ministry and look forward to some great days ahead,” stated Dave Clark, General Manager of Canaan Records.
“From the time we first talked there was a kindred spirit between Dave Clark and The LeFevre Quartet. God has an amazing way of putting things together in a special way at a perfect time. We feel very blessed to be the newest Canaan Records artist. Our prayer, as The LeFevre Quartet partner's in ministry with Dave, Emily and all of the Canaan family, is that God would use this team in a mighty way,” added Mike LeFevre.
The LeFevre Quartet is currently in the studio working on their debut Canaan Records project, which is set to release this summer. Les Butler, Director of Business Operations for Singing News, stopped by the studio during the recording and commented, “Their rehearsals are better than most main events!”
The LeFevres are one of the oldest, most awarded and respected family names in the world of Gospel music. After a career that spanned nearly six decades, the LeFevres retired in the mid 1970's, but a second generation LeFevre was just setting out to make his own mark in Southern Gospel music. Mike LeFevre, nephew to the first lady of Gospel music herself, Eva Mae, began singing professionally with The Alphus LeFevre singers. In the early eighties Mike sang briefly with the Singing Americans, and from 1985 to 1992 he was the smooth baritone voice for the very successful Gold City.
Mike took some much needed time off, but now he is back with what he believes is Gospel music history in the making. The LeFevres were always pioneers and innovators in Southern Gospel music and Mike continues to make his mark by forming the first group in several years to bear the legendary LeFevre name. Mike has prayerfully and carefully picked the members that make up the new quartet. If you were a fan of the LeFevres, Mike and the guys will take you back with fresh, new arrangements of some very well known LeFevre hits. When you see the group live, don't expect to only hear the old LeFevre songs from yesteryear. This quartet has great new music and a great new sound that will win them fans of all ages. The quartet's members, both individually and collectively, share one common goal and purpose - to exalt and glorify the name of Jesus.

America's Favorite Family of Gospel Music, The Hoppers, claimed the number one spot on Singing News Magazine's National Radio Chart during the month of March for their hit song, "I'm Just Waiting For My Ride."
Dean Hopper stated, "When Ronny brought "I'm Just Waiting For My Ride" to the studio, we had a great time working with him and learning it. We knew it was a happy song and felt that people would like it, but little did we realize how the message in this fun little song would encourage individuals so much in a major crisis until we heard their testimonies. Thanks Ronny and Lari for the song! You will never know the number of lives you have touched. Thank you Canaan Records, radio and friends for all of your support during this exciting time for The Hoppers."
The single was written by Ronny Hinson and features the writer as a guest soloist alongside the Hopper family harmony fans have loved for over 50 years.
"After all the songs I have written it still makes me grin, from ear to ear, when I hear a song done right. The Hoppers and Canaan Records took this one to the top. Congratulations on your number one. I was privileged to get to go along for the ride," added Ronny Hinson.

Bring in a team like Rhonda, Rick, Crystal and Emily and that's how hit songs happen! Congratulations!"

September 24, 2007 - Hoppers and Canaan Records Complete Successful Week
The Hoppers and Canaan Records, who is home to the legendary family group, shared a successful week during the National Quartet Convention (NQC) in Louisville, KY. Monday started with the debut ride of the "Hopper Express," which consisted of free golf cart rides to and from Freedom Hall. Each rider was given a commemorative gold coin in celebration of the Hoppers' latest radio single, "I'm Just Waiting For My Ride." The inaugural ride was captured on video and can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z8zk1aW26E
As part of his NQC Observations, Singing News' own Danny Jones stated on September 12th, "The distance between the exhibit hall and performance venue seems to be getting longer every time I make the journey...I'm not quite sure who is responsible for this (either the Hoppers or Canaan Records), but they are making fans and friends for life: they have a small fleet of golf carts transporting patrons to and from Freedom Hall and the exhibit hall. Sure, it's shameless promotion for their latest recording and single ("Waiting For My Ride"), but it's a stroke of genius and both, especially the Hoppers, will reap rewards because of it."
On Thursday, Kim Hopper was named Favorite Female and Favorite Soprano during the Singing News Fan Awards at a ceremony held in Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center. Kim was awarded the prestigious honors by fans and readers of the Singing News magazine.
The legendary Hoppers continued their winning streak on Friday during NQC. Claude, Connie, Dean, Kim and Michael took home Group of the Year, Album of the Year (The Ride), Male Vocalist of the Year (Dean Hopper), Female Vocalist of the Year (Kim Hopper) and the J.D. Sumner Living Legend Award (Claude Hopper) during SGN Scoops' Diamond Awards. Earlier that day, the group performed during the daily chapel service to a packed audience with overwhelming response. Later in the evening on main stage, they sang "I'm Just Waiting For My Ride" complete with video showcasing the writer Ronnie Hinson. The crowd awarded the Hoppers with a standing ovation.
Saturday proved to be a memorable day for each of the Hoppers, but especially Claude. In celebration of the family's 50 years of ministry, the original Hopper Brothers and Connie made an appearance during an afternoon showcase. The group performed songs from past to present. Canaan Records presented the family with a statue representing Jesus washing His disciple's feet. The plaque included read...
"For fifty years you have not only lifted the message of Christ through song, but lived the example of servanthood to those you have touched along the way. Even as we celebrate the journey, we acknowledge that the milestones of success will not merely be measured in years, but in lives changed through your faithfulness to God's call. 'Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.' John 13:14"
NQC 2007 was the first National Quartet Convention for Canaan Records since their rebirth earlier this year. Attendees were invited to pick up Canaan's release, Canaan Revisited and t-shirts that read, "Canaan's Back." Clarke Beasley, Executive Vice President of NQC stated, "Canaan certainly made a great impression at NQC this year. Their free golf cart shuttle was a big winner with the attendees. I am so glad to see the great institution of Canaan Records return once again to the forefront of our industry. Canaan obviously has a great team assembled, and I am looking forward to everything Canaan Records will accomplish in the future."
The week concluded on the heels of the Hoppers signing with Canaan Records and releasing their debut project, The Ride, earlier this month.
